         The Seo Elite is a term I have adopted after reading and absorbing various techniques and tips from the so called 'seo elite' A dedicated band of individuals trying to work out the mathematics behind our desires to get our websites not only noticed by the search engines, but to be placed in that magical front page position.These guys according to their musings really know what is going on in the virtual world we know as the Internet. However, upon further investigation I have seen a certain number of this seo elite crew of mathematical geniuses giving advice that I can only describe as ludicrous. This is now commonly known as 'black hat' seo. Black hatted search engine optimizers have little snippets of code that can and does in the short term give an advantage over the little guy, exploiting loopholes and back doors within the search engine mathematics to leverage greater traffic or search engine positioning for their websites.The SEO elite know that these types of practices are short term and can result in the ultimate demise of any website caught using their strategies. Keyword stuffing is just one example of the black hat seo elite's attempts at manipulation, albeit an ancient form of black hat technique, it was at one time a virtual guarantee of success for your website.However, do not despair, there are many members of the seo elite that can and do give excellent advice and optimization tips that can and do enhance your website to the max. One such person of course is Matt Cutts, widely respected as MR Google. This type of advice is now known as white hat seo. Good, honest, ethical strategies designed specifically to raise your websites profile to the top.Am I a member of the seo elite ? I would have to say no, I am an observer of the seo elite and a dedicated follower of the better seo advice contained within their writings. I can only assure you that I have experienced over the years both the black hat and the white hat variation on this elite crew of seo agents. Following one band of the seo elite, I got my website de-listed and ultimately banned form the search engines altogether, Whilst following the other seo elite tribes I managed to not only enhance my website, but get it onto those magical front pages of all the major search engines. I shall let you decide which hat I was wearing at the time. Suffice to say it's now washed, ironed and put on display for all to see.
