After breakfast, the affiliate turns on the computer and it's time to check for changes in the network. There might be programs to update or maybe statistics to keep track of.
Now, it's time to submit the affiliate program to specialized directories. These are very good means of publicity. Ups, I forgot about the sales tracking. The affiliate has to keep note of them, change ads that aren't bringing in much money or improve them. Also, the site design has to be checked. Is it as good as can be or it can be revised? Is it attracting clicks or not? Are the colors appropriate ?
The affiliate has to answer questions from clients or visitors. It is very important that he responds as quickly as possible and the best way he can. A valuable and fast help is going to keep the client longer and bring in other ones as well.
In this process, the affiliate marketer is also logged on to a forum, blog or chat room where he is interacting with other affiliates. Here they discuss issues, problems, how they promote their products. They all give some and receive some. It always has to be a win-win situation. This is also very good publicity, because there might be others that want to join and they will be attracted by the discussions.
The affiliate has to write some articles and send them to e-zines and directories. He gives away some tips, advices, methods, in a certain field of interest and he gets clicks
and sales as a result. If he hasn't a newsletter to give away to people who came to his website (this way he builds a list which is of huge importance) he has to write one up.
If he has one already, then it maybe time for some adjustments, things to add to it.
Now, it's time to show appreciation to those who have helped the affiliate with
promotions, sales increase, advices. He can publish their websites in his newsletter for this. And if they have good products, then, he can start promoting them also through he’s newsletter. He also has to review some products sent by other affiliates and if he finds a good one, he can give a testimonial to the sender. Helping others achieve their goals also makes the affiliate marketer achieve his. This is also free publicity which will lead to more sales.
That raps up the day. This may not be all done in a single day, but this can give you a pretty good idea of how a dedicated affiliate spends his day.
Remember, success in affiliate marketing doesn't come overnight and it needs lots of work before he shows up at your door!
