Simple steps to starting your home business career
Simple steps to get started on your home internet marketing business.
Getting started is not as difficult as it may seem. We'll start with some very basic steps.
First, Set up a web site for what you are selling or advertising. (EDC Gold provides a personalized site for you.) Pretty simple go to GoDaddy or a similar site and register a domain name. Use a template or build your own website. Be sure to set up the e-mail account and the "catch-all" e-mail domain. That way if someone sends an e-mail address to ANYTHING@yourdomain.com, it will forward to you no matter what is in front of the "@" sign.
Second, you will want to set up a capture page (also called a squeeze page). You'll want this page for a couple reasons. First, you will want to capture lead data so you can follow up with them. You can set up scheduled e-mails or newsletters to communicate with your list. The second benefit of this process is you can send out special broadcast e-mails to your list to promote additional items or services you are selling.
The next step is how you manage this lead information. You want to get an auto responder. (I use this one: http://www.aweber.com/?283483) They even offer a free trial period. You can set up your scheduled e-mails here. Send broadcast e-mails anytime you want and manage your lead information from this web site.
Now that you have your home page, your squeeze page and your autoresponder set up, you need to drive traffic to your site.
I will talk about posting ads in some free sites like craigslist and backpage in my next article. With these very simple steps to setting up free advertising. You'll have prospects signing up for your auto responder in no time.
