Rental Property Owners Hope That IRM Will Help Recoup Lost Income

Rental Property Owners Hope That IRM Will Help Recoup Lost Income
InteractiveRealtyMarketing.com to help boost rental income for owners.

Beginning in March, Interactive Realty Marketing (IRM) plans to heavily target college students for a new rental listing service to be offered through the company's website, InteractiveRealtyMarketing.com

The internet-based company currently offers different property listing plans-both free and paid-to residential and commercial property owners. But, after its marketing efforts, Interactive Realty Marketing will have revamped its site to include listings specifically aimed at college students.

Although the premise is nothing new, the company and its new clients hope that it will help them increase their profits on their rental properties. IRM's Carly Benson explains, "through the course of operating our own business, we've found that, for whatever reason, a lot of local investors have had a hard time renting their properties. Some owners have let their properties go and are on the verge of selling. We feel confident that with our help, these property owners can start generating income from these properties."

The company plans to do so, not only by marketing to college students (and other renters), but to the property owners themselves. Benson ellaborates that Interactive Realty Marketing "esentially has to convince these owners not to sell their properties-to hold on to them. For some of them, that's asking a lot, because, by now, they're losing a considerable amount of money on property that they've neglected to maintain."

Once convinced to preserve their property, owners can list their rentals in the new rental section of InteractiveRealtyMarketing.com
IRM does not plan to receive a commission based on the success of rental. Instead, regardless of the outcome of the property's rental, the owner will pay Interactive Realty Marketing an advertisement fee for each property being listed on the site; $30 for a 60-day listing and $40 for a 90-day listing. Benson says of the price, "although our two biggest competitors charge both $100 and $375 for the same service and features, we offer our service at this price primarily out of goodwill. In the past, the clients that we offer a similar services to are the clients that come back to us, not only to list their properties on our site, but to contract us to do other work for them, which is the core of our business."

Interactive Realty Marketing is only in the beginning phases of the campaign. However, those working closely on the project feel confident that it will be a success, primarily because of the company's strong relationships with residents and business owners of the communities in which the company conducts business.
