Rossi Quality Single Shot Combinations for Young and Adult Shooters


Rossi Firearms manufactures a youth firearm combination that consists of a top break action with three exchangeable barrels in calibers designed to supply the needs of any youngster. The barrels are chambered for 22LR, 243 Winchester, and 20 gage shotgun. The 22 LR barrel is carbine length at 18.5 inches. The sights are highly visible with insets that are visible to the shooter as a three dot set. Both the front and rear sight are adjustable with a sight radius of ll.5 inches. The front sight is adjustable for windage and the rear for elevation. The barrel is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The 20 gage shotgun barrel is chambered for 3 inch magnum shells and has a built in modified choke. It has a front brass bead sight. The 243 Winchester barrel is 22 inches with both a front sight and a Weaver style scope mounted. This combination of barrels readies the youth for game from rabbit or squirrel to deer. At the time of this writing the following calibers were available in the single shot button rifled barrels: .223, .243, 22-250, .308, 30-06, .270, .17 HMR, or 22 Magnum. The handsome hand fitted wood stock is supplied with a white line spacer recoil pad. The stock and forearm are nicely matched with wood to metal fit excellent. The 12 inch trigger pull can be lengthened for a longer trigger pull a slip on recoil pad could be fitted making a 13-14 pull. This type pad is inexpensive and can be removed to return to a shorter trigger pull. The ease of take down for changing barrels makes cleaning the weapon a simple easy task for training youth this necessary part of shooting. The trigger for these combinations is crisp with a smooth even pull. The Rossi come with three different safety devices. The hammer cannot be accidentally by slipping the hammer because of a hammer block before the firing pin. A safety is mounted conveniently on the right of the receiver. A trigger lock is also furnished with purchase. The entire set of action and three barrels fits into a custom fit soft carrying case for about $300.
