Dating Before Marriage

In today's world, when we mention the word dating, the first thing that comes up to the mind of many people is kissing and getting physical.

The word dating generally refers to a social activity were two or more people in a romantic relationship decide to spend more time with each other because of general purposes. This would include building the relationship, and dating to get to know each other better.

When two people are interested in starting a new romantic relationship, normally this is the first phase were both take the time to get to know each other and allow it to grow.

Because of this, dating can either strengthen a relationship, or make it collapse depending on the couples relationship compatibility. Ending a relationship can come from dating itself if the couple does not bond.

Dating before marriage can also turn into intimacy before marriage. Intimacy can turn into other deeper, profound, and serious outcomes.

A good advice before marriage will be to wait for such intimacy.

The reason: relationship dating has no guarantee that the bond will succeed and everything that is done with in that relationship will echo, in a big or small way (positive or negative) through the rest of each others lives.

Many will ask: If I love my partner, Why should I wait? I see intimacy as something completely normal and necessary of every dating relationship?

True. But what if the relationship does not work out. What will be the consequences?

What would happen if your current dating partner turns into an ex?

The higher a relationship went, the hard the fall, the bigger the "emotional baggage", the longer it will take to overcome it, and yes indeed this will be a topic that you might touch with your permanent partner at some point of the rest of your life.

Notice the word permanent partner refers to your spouse and not your dating partner (which is not a guarantee of a husband/wife).

Dating (when it’s serious), opens up a whole new world of opportunities and responsibilities that we usually do not realize: It gives us the chance of making a huge impact with little actions in the life of another human being.

This is the reason why dating is suppose to be serious and more than just “going out” to spend some time.

Many people that date just to date usually have the similar testimonial of saying they feel “empty” inside, even though they have dated so many people. They are expert “lovers” but know nothing about love.

Dating before marriage and the average dating before marriage will depend on many small factors that are going make up big unconscious changes in each person.

There are many sites and blogs that talk about love advice, love relationships and dating relationships but usually they tend to speak about dating as if it were to be another hobby. They look at it as fun instead of something serious.

Relationship dating means relationship responsibility.

After marriage, (if there is marriage) the years that will count will be those when we have spent the first of many other years to come with person who is going to accompany us for the rest of our lives. That is, if the couples are into something “serious”.
