Make-ups play an important role along with your dress and haircuts. Men and women who follow emo style use same make-ups. There are some particular make-ups that they wear to create an emo look.

Emo people emphasizes on applying eyeliner to create moment temperament. They give importance to their eyes and highlight it using different types of eyeliner in the market revealing their inner feelings, their inner mood. Different types of eyeliner available in the market are liquid eyeliner that glides on smoothly and works best for beginners. Eye paint that is available in the market comes in tube and can be used as both shadow and liner. It comes along with a good set of brushes and goes on creamy and dries to a powdery finish. Emo people also spend time experimenting with colors as they do with hair dye. Though jet black is the most commonly used color that emo people tend to stick to it but there are other colors like dark blues, browns and reds they would like to experiment with. Pairs of eyes are the most focus of most emo makeup styles. Girls would like apply bright shadow, in shades of pink, turquoise and red, all the way up to the eyebrows. Mascara is used in the end to thicken the eye lashes. Both emo men and women would like to wear mascara.

Line the bottom lash, starting from the inside corner and the thickness of the line depends on the applicants. Holding the liner at a 90-degree angle will help you to draw a thin line whereas for a thicker line apply the eyeliner at a flatter angle. Lin should be drawn sticking close to the lash and ending in a rounded corner. Apply eye shadow after the eyeliner dries up.

Lips are generally kept simple with a touch of light lip gloss, lip balm or pale lipstick. People with darker skin tones can go for a darker lip colors. Applying foundations to your skin is also very important. Foundation selected should match the skin tone of the applicants. It can also be one shade lighter also. Boys should keep the makeup elusive, sticking with more natural eye shadows and pale lipsticks. Old-emo kids do not wear makeup. Always remember that wearing makeup does not make you emo but it enhances your feelings that get displayed on your face making it observable to those around you. So if you are uncomfortable with these make-ups you can skip it.
