Power Can’t Override The Fears Of A Suppositious Ruler

Once upon a time in a land called Jerseyville, there live a very powerful organization Boss named Vincent Justas who ran the family business, with totalitarian sternness. This Industrial boss had two children, Frankie and Johnnie. Even though he was strict he was an understanding and well natured Boss. His son, Vennie as he was known, was, on the other hand, an iron fisted, despiteful and ruthless tyrant. It came to pass in his daughter Johnnie's twenty-first year a wedding was arranged between her and Joseph (Joey) Madeira who was a son of a very powerful Family Boss from a neighboring City.

Because Frankie loved his sister dearly he decided he would honor the bride and groom by being their Limousine Driver. As Frankie drove the betrothed couple down First Street, just before they turned onto the interstate, a stinging voice from the heavens came to him telling him that Johnnie and Joey's fourth child would become very powerful and he would be killed.

Frankie, being very superstitious, could take no chances on his fate. He wanted to kill Johnnie right then but his love for his sister prevented it. Frankie told his brother-in-law of his fear and voiced that even though he loved his sister, he must kill her. Joey begged Frankie to spare Johnnie's life and because of his love he should show his sister some mercy. He further promised Frankie that he would have Johnnie hand over any child born to them, if he would let her live.

Now Frankie did not want the blood of his sister on his hands so he agreed and instead of killing her, he had a beautiful stronghold of a mansion built for her and placed her in it, under house arrest.

Even though Joey was free to tend to business and come and go, Johnnie, on the other hand, was a prisoner of her brother in his estate. Each time Johnnie had a child, the guards would inform Frankie and he would have the child placed in a special institute under heavy guard. Two of Johnnie and Joey's children met their destiny this way. It so happened that the third child was born late at night, and Johnnie and Joey seeing the opportunity decided to try to save the child's freedom.

The estate guard had fallen asleep, so Joey was able to slip out of the stronghold undetected. He took the child to his cousin's house in a city across the river and left him there. In the morning they sent word to Frankie that the child was stillborn.

Frankie was pleased because he knew the next child was prophesized to be his killer. He didn't want to take chances with the birth of the fourth child so he had Johnnie locked in a special room high in one of the estate’s towers. .

The forth child was born on the forth night of the forth month. It was raining heavily as the thunder rumbled and lightning streaked across the sky as if the Gods were trying to pay homage to the newborn child. Then the miracle happened, an earthquake shook so hard the door to Johnnie's room fell open. Joey found the guards had ran for their lives from the shaking, so he decided that he would take the baby and escape to a faithful cousin's house across the river.

Joey picked up the child and placed him in a basket. He then carried the basket to his car and proceeded to make his way to his cousin's house. Now his cousin’s house was across the river and because of the thundering and the rain, the highways were in a state of turmoil. Joey wondering how he would cross the river with the highways in such disarray prayed for a miracle. Then it happened. A policeman saw the newborn baby on the front seat and cleared the traffic for Joey. Joey promised the policeman a hansom reward for his efforts and he was able to reach his cousin's house in little time.

When he got there he found his cousin had given birth to a baby girl. While his cousin slept he replaced their child with his own. He presumed that since it was a baby girl, Frankie would not kill her. He then made the journey back home to Johnnie taking the cousin’s baby girl with him. As soon as Joey reached Johnnies room the doors closed behind him and the baby girl started to cry. The guards came back in and hearing the baby's cries they rushed to tell Frankie of the birth of the forth child.

Upon hearing the news, Frankie rushed to the stronghold and Johnnie's room and picked up the child. As he was about to throw it to the ground, Johnnie begged him not to kill the child as it was only a girl and that a girl could do him no harm. Frankie being the wicked man that he was paid no attention to his sisters cries and threw the baby to the floor killing it instantly.

The next morning word spread that Johnnie had a little girl and it had died at birth. Now Frankie's would be slayer was still alive and was at Joey’s cousin’s house. Still, Frankie felt uneasy, so he summoned a wicked demoness name Putina. He ordered Putina to use her black magic to search for any danger that he may be in. Putina saw a newborn that would be Frankie's killer. The news made Frankie so mad he killed Putina and vowed to kill his sister and brother in law as well.

Frankie went to the stronghold to deal with his sister and brother in law. They told him Putina had been wrong that he had killed their child. Frankie would not listen; he was in such a rage he took his gun out to kill his sister. Joey begged Frankie to spare Johnnie and he would tell him where the baby was. Frankie still had a soft spot for his sister so he agreed to go with Joey to find the child.

Joey took Frankie to his cousin’s house. As they entered Joey's cousin, who Joey had called, was waiting and shot Frankie through the heart. Frankie fell dead at Joey’s feet.

The curse came true; Frankie met his death because of the fourth child of Johnnie's and not that the child was the killer.
