Wedding photography advice

If a picture is worth a thousand words then the photos of your wedding ceremony are priceless! You won't ever have another chance to recapture the moments of your wedding day, but top-notch wedding photos can certainly help you reminisce. There are plenty of good wedding photographers to pick from. Meet with a few and you should have no problem choosing the right one for you. Some specialize in black and white photographs; most offer digital services; others spend a whole day with you photographing every moment. A few things you'll need to consider are prices, quality and care. Your choice of photographer should fit your budget, produce top-notch images, proofs and enlargements, and care sincerely about gifting you with pictures that will serve as memories for a lifetime. There are many things to keep in mind when interviewing and picking a photographer. Here are the most important ones. Set aside at least 1,200 dollars for your photography. In this area, perhaps more than any other, you will certainly get what you pay for. Excellent wedding photographers can cost as much as 5,500 dollars. Sit down with the photographer in person. Check out his/her wedding albums and other work. Ask for references from the photographer's last three weddings. Call the brides and ask about their time with the photographers. Book a photographer that you like. Personality is important and you need to be certain you hit it off and can picture yourself spending your wedding day with this person as he/she tells you where to stand and when to smile. If there's a need to save money, have the photographer shoot the ceremony and formals and have friends or family shoot candids of the reception. Finally, get more than an oral agreement. Get all the expected services and conditions in writing and make sure both parties sign the contract as soon as you book the date.
