It was the second of march and we were experiencing one of the worst winters we had for a notable time in scotland. The weather is famous and known to be horrendous and in the march that became a reality. Joanne and i loved to go to some of our favourite haunts for lunch and had befriended some of the local people and staff that attended these places. We had yet to find someone to make our wedding cake and on that fatefull afternoon - we decided to head to the “cozy cup” to ask if the owner would make it. We left our house just after the snow had stopped, got into our red sports car and tried to drive out. The car wouldn’t budge - the wheels span around and we made no ground. Joanne and i looked at each other and laughed – is this is a sign from the universe, maybe we should stay-at-home. As professional Mediums you would think that we would be able to recognize the language of the spirit. Instead through our ignorance, we got our neighbors to dig us out. They worked for at least ½ an hour shoveling vast amounts of snow and piled it so high that we could not see the other car – soon we got on our way .
We drove out into the countryside and the inclement weather just got worse- the visibility decreased and we had to almost crawl along the road. A few miles later, as we drove even deeper into the countryside - our car started to choke. It jumped to and frow like a kangaroo and eventually we died a death (broke down). We pulled onto the side of the road, called the recovery company as well as one of my ninjutsu students and prayed that we would be safe. Joanne had joked that we should watch out - we might receive an impact from a motorist behind. I seriously thought for a moment; two psychics and we both had the same feeling – another warning perhaps.
The recovery company told us they would be a couple of hours. A couple of hours would be too long and my fiancee suffered from feeling the cold - even in one hundred degree weather. I thought it would be prudent to call one of my students who lived nearby – luckily he agreed to come out and help us before the recovery truck arrived. My student was on his way to our aid and in that knowledge, we felt a sense of comfort. Sitting cold in our car, we laughed at the second sign from the universe to go home. Joanne was a little worried, as was i, and we were vulnerable. My student arrived; we got our car working again and decided that we should go home. Our car seemed to be running fine - we ignored the third sign. Joanne had felt the cold and needed her soup and to also settle her worry of getting a wedding cake. I thanked my student and carried on. No sooner had we traveled 3 miles but the innevitable happened again. Once again we pulled over and called for help. Jo was sitting reading a book on the after life and i was daydreaming, wondering about the future Jo and I had together. So many people search all their lives for a soul mate and never find one. They often pass the opportunity due to their environmental pressures and current circumstances. We were lucky God had blessed us and brought us together . In my pondering state i suddenly heard a male voice cry my name. John! I heard a voice scream my name in my left ear; I jumped to the left and noticed in my rearview mirror, a truck careering toward my car from behind. Everything went black, as black as night, and in slow motion, I viewed the whole episode from outside the car – was I dead? My fiancée was nowhere; I couldn’t see her and at that moment, I thought she was dead too. Minutes later – though it seemed like an eternity, I came around inside the car and all I could see was a red haze from the crimson color that covered my eyes. The blood was dripping from my head and blinding me. My future wife was out cold and then the vast shock had hit me - who saved our lives? There was only me and my fiancée in the car, the next i knew - i was outside the car watching the events in slow motion. A large truck carreered into the back of our car at 70 miles per-hour and we passed to the other realm.
I later awoke in the car and looked to see if joanne was ok - there was no movement and I thought my future wife was dead. I looked over to the door on the passenger side - the door fell open. I am not sure how we managed to get out of the car but we did. Joanne was laying motionless in the snow and i could hardly move. Within minutes an ambulance arrived and we were immediately taken to hospital.
We ignored the signs from the universe and our intuition, even though the evidence was overwhelming. Later i was to find out the voice was the voice of my father from the spirit world and angels had a hand in saving us from an early passing. Joanne and i nearly paid with our lives when a simple understanding would have saved us from the terrible accident that nearly took us prematurely from the earth plane. A grave lesson learned that day and my wife and i teach from our mistakes and listen to the universe and our intuition. We managed to get wed in the spiritualist church that we serve and now have a wonderful life together rejoicing in the gifts of spirit.

After our wedding we both decided that life is to short, we should take all the opportunites that God has laid before us. With that in mind; we were determined to move to the United States of America “The Land of Opportunity.” We had undergone some treatment and were still recovering from our ordeal. To make matters worse Joanne (now my lovely wife) was still in a wheelchair after some major surgery to her leg. We had booked 3 nights in New York and the Rest in Orlando in Florida.
We arrived in New York on the 8th May 2006 and spent 3 wonderful day’s enjoying all New York had to offer. Though difficult to get around, Jo bravely trudged with crutches – I admired her guts and determined attitude. When we were in New York, we called our hotel to make sure that our reservation in Florida was still ok and that as advertised - they would provide disabled transport from the airport to the Hotel. As far as we were led to believe, everything was ok - how wrong this was.
Landing in charlottesville airport bofore the connecting flight to orlando – we had a little time to kill. I thought it prudent to call ahead and check on our reservation one more time; Disaster had struck, they canceled all transport to the hotel across-the-board consqently we were now going to be stranded in Orlando MCO.
At the airport; we found it difficult to move along, the place was so busy and we had our luggage, laptops and books. Joanne was still trying to negotiate her wheelchair and balance her crutches at the same time. This was proving difficult to say the least. After Jo had circumnavigated the circle she was turning around in - only one hand could work one wheel and the other on her bag. She beconned me to sort out the luggage. Watching my wife going round in circles was amuzing, though i did feel sad for her – i prayed to God and my angels for help. It was also amuzing to another gentleman; after watching Jo’s plight for a few minutes – he came to our aide.
Daniel was his name, and his offer for help could not have come at a better time. After a short discussion, he realized that we were stranded and so offered further relief. He and his partner were on their way to Disney, as we were on the route – he offered transport. He took us to meet his partner; a woman named Mi Mi whose smile lit up the whole world. This woman just emanated kindness from every part of her being. Joanne if you remember was in a wheelchair, though this had to be returned – not so much of a concidence that these two individuals had another wheelchair in the car and they both could walk fine.
We traveled to Orlando and went to our hotel; to our sheer disgust, the hotel was incredibly unclean. The bath was so rusted and dirty that it would have infected my wifes wound and to top that, a cockroach paraded itself in front of us on our bed. I was raging and like a bull in a china shop, went straight to confron the management. There was no way i could allow my wife to spend part of her honeymoon here – we left the hotel. Our newfound friends had vowed to stay with us while until we found somewhere else. Not realizing that we jad arrived in the busiest time in America; Mother’s Day weekend – nothing was available. It was late; we had nowhere to go and Jo’s leg had swolen like a ballon – to make matters worse – i tripped and smashed my knee on a concrete lintel. We were in a sorry state, yet, we were not left abandoned.
Mi Mi asked us to come and stay with us at her house in a small retirement community in Lady Lake, Florida. We had no other alternative but to agree and though i felt uncomfortable my Jo needed to rest - I had to calm down. We drove for over an hour in the rain and through an alighty thunerstorm – i thought “sounds like the man upstairs angry at my cussin after hurting myself,” i looked to the sky and said “sorry.” Arriving at Mi Mi’s house, we were so exhuasted we could hardly talk – the house was beautifull – impecably decorated and so clean. Not only did we have a comfortable place to sleep – she gave us her main bedroom with a king size bed – i felt like crying.
The next morning Joanne and i woke up, totally amazed at the events that led us to here. We thanked God and our angels for the help we had. Joanne needs coffee in the morning or she just does not function – it’s amazing to see. We got dressed and opened the door to the bedroom to join our guest. To our amazement; There was statues of angels in every corner, on every wall, pictures of angels adorned the decor and made themselves known to us. Now Jo and I are well known mediums and we are aware of spirit in every way – Now tell us that angels don’t exist.
