“And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presents of the Lord God among the trees in the garden. (Pride had entered in causing the creation a need to deceive)
And the Lord God called out to Adam saying;
‘Where are you Adam?’ (His Creator was looking for a prodigal son) And
Adam replied, ‘I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid,’ (His new found pride had caused him fear of rejection by his Creator/Sustainer/Ally)
"Because I was naked," (Adam's rationalizing or excusing his alliance to himself)
"And I hid myself.’ (Admission of his adulterous pride, however, he made no amends to change the adverse behavior rendered his acceptance invalid)
And God said, ‘Who told you that you were naked?’ (God explaining to us how blatant disregard for order causes shame and emptiness)
‘Have you partaken in the consumption of that I forbid you?’ (Lucifer had been allowed to create doubt in Eve’s willing mind, thus, causing her heart to be persuaded to summit to Lucifer's seduction)
And Adam said, ‘The woman who You gave to be with me coerced me into submission’ (Adam’s new found pride had allowed him to justify or liberate himself from the pain of his sin, compounded with placation or allay that lead to denial of his wrong)
‘And I did partake in that You forbid” (Second admission of guilt, however, again no amends were rendered)
Is it any wonder why we need a kinsmen redeemer?
Blaming others for our own adverse behavior, is like blaming a pencil for making spelling errors.
The next time you are watching "Cops" or your own kids, you may now notice the following;
When fallen man’s adverse behavior and ideals are exposed -
1. He may use brute force to run or argue his way out.
2. He will often try to deceive his way out.
3. He will use denial as his way out.
4. He will then try to justify, or blame others as his way out.
5. He will use one or more of these tactics before he tries to behave his way out.
However, it is only when he denounces his adverse ideals that have forged his adverse behavior will he be free from the shame and rejection he so fears!
One of the first things my 12 step elders taught me was, if you did it, be free from it, own up to it.
This is what the gospel is all about.
We see people all around us today claiming Christ, but not His blood.
Therefore, they are claiming; "I will assend on high, I will place my throne above the most high."
And/or "See me, I am all this, and that too."
Pride walks ahead of every fall.
God's greatest gift is not good heath or prosperity in the market place, but rather, discernment, knowing right from wrong.
If you have strayed away from the fold, your Father has left the 99 others to come looking for you.
If He loves you, you will know it, because He will break your wondering legs and place you on His shoulders until you are ready to walk again.
