Attractions of New York City


New York City is one of the most active and happening city of the world. Considered as the economical hub of United States, it contributes a lot to U.S. economy. Apart from that, the city is also heaven for modern day tourists with varied set of tourism choices. The City and place which are a point of attraction attracts people from all over the world.

There are several places in New York, which are attraction for tourists, the list of such attractions is endless, and some of them are listed here with a little description:

Empire State Building

Empire State Building is an example of tough and complex building architecture, which was the tallest building structure of the world for decades. The uniqueness and exclusivity of this giant building made a history when it became one of the modern day wonders of world. Later is added in the list of New York City heritage and later U.S. heritage. This 1,454 feet high building consists 103 stories and two specially designed observatories for visitors. Both observatories, first observatory situated on 86th floor and second observatory situated on 102nd floor provides panoramic view of this city of sky scrappers. The building constructed during 1930's is equipped with automated state of the art security as well as inbound transportation system. This place is present in list of the must visit places in every person visiting New York.

Brooklyn Bridge

One of the oldest suspension bridge of world, the Brooklyn Bridge help in easy transportation between two portions of New York City. The bridge with span of 1595 feel is a centre of point of attraction.

Central Park

Central Park is among the first landscaped public park in the United States. Wealthy merchants and landowners admired public grounds of London and Paris, and wanted New York to have similar grounds.

Chrysler Building

Mr. William Van Alen designed The Chrysler Building for contractor William H. Reynolds but was eventually sold to William Chrysler, owner of Chrysler motor cars. For a few months, it was the world's tallest building at 1046 feet tall, until it was surpassed by the Empire State Building.
