Alaska, once deemed vacationland for only the heartiest of souls, has become a getaway choice for all ages and types of tourists. At the same time, high mountain peaks shine white with the season’s first snows. Wildlife, fattening up for the long winter, also appear in herds which graze in the lower altitudes
No matter the particular dates you select for your escape to the 49th State, you’ll want to prepare for all types of weather conditions. June can deliver driving rains, while August returns with endless sunshine. Most certain about Alaska’s weather is its changeability.
