Travel and tourism in Kerala (one of the most captivating & charming states of India) is an amazingly mesmerizing occasion that is followed by fans from all over the world. Ever since I was a little boy I have been fascinated with natural world. Nature always delights me and I always prefer to make my holiday on a destination which enjoys copious nature beauty. So, the first time I visited Kerala – God’s Own Country on my Kerala tourism package I honestly confess that I fell in love at first sight. It was a 10 days trip. Listening to Malayalam (the local & official language of Kerala) just made me captivated. Though, I did not understand Malayalam but the sound touching my ears was a very pleasant.
Being ruled by my appetite, cuisine was also a decisive factor to me falling in love with God’s Own Country – Kerala, India. The delicious cuisine is one of the major attractions of tours to Kerala. How can one forget to taste delicious cuisine on tours and travel in this beautiful landscape of India? I enjoyed lots of Kerala's popular vegetarian cuisine. Almost all items were prepared with by the use of coconut. I tasted Dosa, Sambar and Chuteny…really yummy. I enjoyed Kerala's traditional deserts & sweets. I also tasted pickles which was very spicy but lip smacking…LOL. Delightfully, traditional banquet or Sadhya served on banana leaves at the table tempting you for another bite…oh how yummy… Sadhya is traditional vegetarian meal with boiled rice and host of several side dishes like sweets, sambar, rasam, buttermilk, coconut chutney, etc. There are also delicious sea foods that can be tasted. But I preferred to eat vegetarian foods on my tour here.
I explored breathtaking beaches and backwaters for which Kerala is known for. Really beaches were very beautiful and with peaceful ambiance – no too much crowd. They were blessed with exceptional nature beauty in abundant. I enjoyed sunbathing. I saw several tourists enjoying their beach vacation. I saw several couples enjoying their honeymoon holidays and playing with surf and sands. Children were playing with sands and running for fun. One day I also enjoyed beach volleyball. Watching sunset from palm coconut trees was really a delight for me. I visited an Ayurvedic Resort and enjoyed ayurvedic treatment and massage therapy. It worked as magical change in my mind, body and soul. It gave me refreshment and new energy. Kovalam, Varkala, Alleppey, and Kumarakom beaches are very beautiful beach which you can too enjoy on your package tour to Kerala, India.
At Alleppey, I checked in houseboat (a floating luxurious accommodation on the scenic backwaters). I enjoyed superb nature lots on board the houseboat. I captured panoramic views of lush green surrounding and paddy fields in my camera. Houseboat takes me to Kumarakom. At Kumarakom, I visited Vembanad Lake Bird sanctuary and enjoyed sunset cruise over the scenic Vembanad Lake. I honestly admit houseboat stay was the most pleasant experience of my Kerala tourism package. My tour package also gave me opportunity to visit Munnar – one of the most popular hill stations of the state. In short, I suggest Kerala for a mesmerizing tourism & holiday destination.
