Cyprus is one of the most beautiful Islands in the whole of the Mediterranean in fact it is more of a country than an Island, self contained with it's own distinct culture and unique lifestyle. There is so much to see and do in Cyprus and no matter how many times you visit the Island you will never run out of places of interest to visit. There is a rich cultural heritage stretching back thousands of years and it is evident in the large number of historical sites on the Island. Everything from Greek mythology to the Roman occupation is in strong evidence and you can book loads of informative tours or excursions to learn all about it.

Then again you may just want to lounge by the pool and relax with a long cool drink in the warm Cyprus sun. If that's the case then a Cyprus villa holiday is just what you are looking for. They are a great way to combine all the comforts of a luxury villa with the independence to do what you want when you want. No more queuing for breakfast or rushing back for dinner when you take a relaxing Cyprus villa holiday. Get up in the morning when you are good and ready and come back to the house when you want. Swim in your own private pool any time of the day (or night) that you like without any silly rules or restrictions to worry about either.

A Cyprus villa holiday also makes a great place from which to explore the rest of the Island too and the best way to do this is with a hire car. The cost of hiring a car for your holiday in Cyprus is quite reasonable and you will save a bundle on holiday villa rental if you choose somewhere further inland. That way you have total flexibility at a great price with the resorts and beaches only a short drive away. The money saved on villa rental will more than compensate for the cost of the car hire and you are well away from the bustling resorts if you prefer a peaceful holiday.

So do your home work and shop around for a great deal on your Cyprus villa holiday because there are some great savings to be made online. Many of those beautiful Cyprus holiday villas are privately owned second homes and as such are kept to a very high standard. Bear in mind when you rent such a property that it is someone's home and treat it with respect because they will be far more comfortable than the run of the mill holiday accommodation offered by the bigger companies.
