The biggest city in England is London. In fact, it is one of the biggest cities in all of Europe. For this reason London is one of the most common tourist destinations in the area. A large amount of people from all over the world travel to London every year to soak up the atmosphere, and check out the great attractions. The fact of the matter is that London is a lot of fun for anybody who visits. Ask anybody who has been to London before, and you will more than likely hear about how much fun they had.

As far as population is concerned, London is one of the biggest cities in all of Europe. This translates into many different cultures and religions being present in the area. No matter what your beliefs are you should be able to fit in if you are traveling to London. Over 300 languages are spoken in the city, and the most popular one is English. This makes tourism easy on travelers from many different areas of the world.

For people visiting London for the first time there are many attractions that are must sees. These attractions are not only the most popular in London, but in the world as well. They include the House of Parliament, Tower Bridge, and Buckingham Palace to name a few. For people that are interested in art, there are two institutions that they will not want to pass up; the British Museum and the National Gallery. If you have time to visit all of these attractions you will definitely feel like your time in London was well spent.

Greater London covers a lot of ground; 609 square miles to be exact. Running through the city is the Thames River which is popular for both work and recreational activities.

Before you plan any trip it is important to know what type of weather you can expect. In London, temperatures are pretty steady throughout the entire year. If you want to London during its warmest month plan a trip for July. During July temperatures usually reach around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The month of January is the coldest with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s for most of the month. Precipitation in London is pretty much a year long occurrence, and snow is not common. Predicting when it is going to rain in London is impossible.

If you are worried about getting around in London you can forget about it. The London Underground can get you around the city without any trouble. And flying in and out of London is a breeze thanks to the five airports in the city. The biggest one is Heathrow, and it is responsible for the most international traffic by an airport in the entire world.

London is popular among people from one side of the world to the next. There are many attractions to see in London, and the weather is never a problem. The tourism industry in London is definitely safe for the time being.
