But the most important thing to do when getting ready for your trip is to call the hotel beforehand. Remember that hotel policies can change, so you want to have confirmation before you go that your hotel will let Rover along.
The Stay
Keep in mind that just because some hotels are pet friendly that they'll simply let your pet in the room as a guest. There are likely to be extra costs in pet and security deposits. And even the friendliest of hotels will frown upon you if your pet becomes a problem. There are ways to ease this problem, including bringing the pet blankets from home to sleep on so it has something familiar close by and by giving your pet a lot of attention while there.
