Introduction

Rajasthan tourism is one of the prime tourist destinations of India mesmerizing the world with its geographical features of world’s oldest Aravalli Range, Great Indian Desert popularly known as Thar Desert, Mount Abu, two national tiger reserves Ranthambore and Sariska surrounded by Pakistan to the west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north.

Out of several fairs and festivals two festivals of Rajasthan i.e. Desert Festival of Jaisalmer and Pushkar Fair attracted the tourists from across the world for their vibrancy and colorful celebrations. Some of the famous fair and festivals of Rajasthan are Banganga Fair, Karni Mata Fair, Baneshwar Fair, Desert Festival, Mewar Festival, Teej Festival, Camel Festival, Chambal Adventure Festival, Kite Festival, Pushkar Fair, Urs (Ajmer), Shekhawati Fair and Winter Festival.
