Among the multitude of buildings the Lau Pa Sat and the old Telok Ayer Market is the most outstanding.
The area is also known as the Golden Shoe as the boundaries are formed in the shape of a shoe. It consists of eleven planning areas and some of the district’s most dazzling views can be found at the end of the Clifford Pier.
