10-Item Skills Test For Essay Writers

WHAT is the difference between a good essay writer and a bad essay writer?

In terms of essay writing, like writing a custom essay or custom essays, a good writer simply makes well-written essays happen, while a bad one just lets poorly-written pieces of writing to come about.

Do you just let things happen or really make things happen?
Here are 10 questions that will test your essay writing ability: Find out if you're one of the many awful writers around, or if you are indeed one of the few good men, err, good essay writers.

1. Am I unsure with my chosen topic? Or will I be passionate and enthusiastic about my essay writing task from A to Z? Am I also very familiar with my subject and have a lot of references to support it?

2. If I would write, let's say, a custom essay, am I careless with my grammar usage, spelling as well as the word choices? Or do I seek the help of a dictionary to double check on these small yet important details?

3. Do I always write a thesis that's unclearly defined? Is the defining statement of my essay vague and ineffective all the time? Whenever I review my work, am I often unsure of what I want to express to the readers?

4. When I write custom essays, do I fail to catch the attention of my readers because of my weak introduction?

5. Is my conclusion always open-ended? Do I always tend to leave an "unfinished" or "hanging" feeling at the closing part of my essay?

6. Are my sentences and paragraphs complicated? Or if I am writing for example a custom essay, could I come up with what I really think about? Can I systematize all my sentences into paragraph forms? Can I come up with transitional phrases or sentences that will enable my readers feel that they are moving on to a new topic readily?

7. Do I put a "cloudy" argument all the time? Or I can put support to the argument within the thesis statement of my essay? Do I ensure that every statement that I make has a point with regard to the overall framework of my argument?

8. Do I use "informalities" in essay writing over and over again? Do I stay away from colloquialisms, slang words and jargons? Do I get to write "I think," "I feel that," "Based in my own opinion," "I firmly believe that;" contractions such as "doesn't," "couldn't," "don't;" as well as abbreviations?

9. Does my essay not at all appeal to the five senses? Am I able to allow my readers to see, smell, hear, touch or taste all the things I want to convey to them?

10. Do I use words that are vague or too general when referring to men or women? Or do I choose the proper words to identify a specific gender?

If you answered six yeses overall, then you are already on the brink of becoming a "legit" bad essay writer. However, if you start taking into account all the negative traits mentioned above, and start reversing them to improve your essay writing skills, sooner or later, you would reap the rewards of being a good essay writer—and one of them is getting good grades from your professors.
